Ligretto Speed Machine is an expansion to the basic Ligretto game that makes the game even faster and more exciting.< /span>
The gameplay is basically identical to the base game. There are now 24 action cards that are randomly laid out during the game. The joker card is present eight times, all others four times each. Each of these cards has one of eight different sound symbols (elephant, drum, cuckoo clock, ship's horn, fanfare, bell, telephone, rooster).
At the beginning of the game, each player is given these symbols assigned: If there are 2/3/4/5/6 players, everyone gets 4/2/2/1/1. You can see its own icons below the "Cancel" button (8). Superfluous symbols are available to everyone and are displayed above the "Cancel" button (9). The opponent's symbols are located in the player display next to the score.
As soon as the game begins, the action cards are also randomly placed next to the playing field (5). Whoever has the appropriate sound symbol for the action card can take the card (drag and drop it onto the action card storage area (7) next to the hand cards).
If there are several cards on display, you can - with them Except for the top - all cards are taken by all players, regardless of the sound symbol!
This action card can be placed as a joker on any card on the field. However, it may not be used as "1". After being pulled down, the card is automatically parked on the Ligretto stack and can then be brought onto the playing field from there.
This action card means that you can now reveal every second card in your hand (instead of every third as normal). It works automatically. Further "Every Second" cards expire ineffective if they are taken.
This action card provides an additional storage space. Multiple cards are possible and then add up.
With this action card you have to pass your top card of the Ligretto stack to a fellow player. To do this, you move the top card of the Ligretto pile into the player display onto an opponent's Ligretto pile. Attention: As long as this action card has not been fulfilled, no further moves are possible (similar to clicking on a ten)!
With this action card you have to throw away one of your cards from the display. To do this, you move any of your face-up cards onto the small symbol of the action card (6). Attention: as long as this action card has not been fulfilled, no further moves are possible!
One round ends as in the basic game when a player has played his Ligretto.
The same as in the basic game also ends here the game as soon as a player has reached at least 100 points.
The game runs without the eight card sounds. The action cards must then be recognized and assigned purely visually.
