Go is the oldest board game in the world. It has very few rules to it but is a very complex game. Unlike chess, there is still no computer in the world which is capable of playing at the highest level.
Go is a territorial game. Both players try to win as much area as possible on the board. Each turn you place a stone on one of the grid intersections. Stones which are completely surrounded, are captured and removed from the game.
Contrary to other abstract games, Go offers the possibility of bringing weaker and stronger players together by setting handicaps with the stones to make the games more exciting.
Don't think too deeply just play!
